The Community Relief Day Care Centre (CRDCC) was established in Tlokweng by Botswana Retired Nurses Society (BORNUS) in 2003. The main goal of the centre is to provide comprehensive quality health care and support to the chronically and terminally ill clients including HIV/AIDS as well as orphans, vulnerable children and elderly who are mostly caregivers. In addition the Centre exists to relieve the burden of care on Caregivers and the affected families. BORNUS has branches in Kanye in the Southren District and Morwa in Kgatleng.

To lead as a credible and dynamic Community based Organisation in relieving the burden of care on the infected and affected individuals and families.
Mission
We exist to relieve the burden of care on individuals, families, communities, and health facilities. We do this through provision of comprehensive quality health care and support for people living with AIDS (PLWAs), orphans and those with chronic and terminal illnesses.
Key activities at the centre
- Collection of clients from home to the Centre daily i.e. Mondays to Fridays. On the average 30 to 35 clients are catered for during the day.
- Provision of meals (breakfast and lunch) daily. Those clients who could not make it to the Centre and are in need of food their share of meals is taken to their respective homes.
- Information, Education and Communication (IEC) on HIV/AIDS related topics such as preventative measures, voluntary testing for HIV, adherence to treatment and fight against stigmatization of PLWAs
- Home visits during which counseling and health education is continued. The volunteers and nurse counsellers ensure that the clients adhere to treatment.
- Counseling for individuals and families, this may be related to acceptance of the condition and how to deal with opportunistic infections.
- Periodic excursion for children to places of interest such as game reserve etc. Still continues when funds are available
- The day care centre Teacher undertakes any activities, which contribute to the mental and physical development of children, taking into account their ages and physical fitness.
- Handicrafts for those who are able to knit, sew, crotchet and do patch work.
- Development of the garden for provision of fresh vegetable to clients
